Thanks For Supporting Spirit Of Children!

The 2013 Minnesota Spirit Halloween Stores Spirit Of Children Bash Was A Smashing Success!

SpiritHalloweenMN-SOC-Party6aIn addition to being a Halloween retailer, the Cohns again this year supported the Spirit of Children which supports Child Life departments to help make hospital stays less scary for kids and their families. Since 2007, the program has raised over $11 million for over 130 children’s hospitals.

The Spirit Halloween stores in Minnesota throw an annual Halloween party, and last year donated over $20,000 for the Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Twin Cities.

This year, the Spirit of Children Halloween Bash for the kids at the Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Twin Cities was thrown on October 14th.  This was a heart-warming event, with costumes, treats, face painting, crafts, another visit from The Amazing Hondo, and lots of smiling and laughter!

Minnesota Spirit Halloween Stores Host Halloween
Party For Shriners Hospitals For Children-Twin Cities

Last year, once again, the Minnesota Spirit Halloween stores brought some Halloween cheer for both patients and their families by throwing a Halloween gala complete with costumes, decorations, games and crafts. The event was held October 23, 2012, and featured Rapter Center, Smokey The Bear, The Amazing Hondo, and a Costume Contest. This has been an incredible event in years past, and was simply a wonderful experience again!

About Spirit of Children
Since 2006, Spirit of Children has supported Child Life departments to make hospital stays less scary for kids and their families and touches hundreds of thousands of pediatric patients each year by providing both fun and funding to hospitals at Halloween and all year long. Spirit of Children enables hospitalized children to celebrate Halloween like kids should by organizing events complete with costumes, accessories, decorations and activities. This season, Spirit of Children will host celebrations at 85 hospitals and hopes to raise $3.5 million, bringing its total contribution to more than $10 million since the program’s inception.
